Random Acts of Mis-Fashion

The Valentino boutique on Newbury Street has been broken into twice this week. Clearly the perpetrators could not have been from Boston. I mean come on, who wears Valentino in the land of the Blueberry Coolada?!! I would imagine it would be a little too easy for law enforcement to spot someone wearing Valentino among the polar-fleeced masses.

Also, overheard at the Museum of Fine Arts "Fashion Show: Paris Collections 2006" exhibit this weekend: Where would you ever wear these things? Personally, I didn't think that there was anything on exhibit so unusual that it couldn't have been worn somewhere. Just really elegant and well-designed clothing. It would have had a place in NY, LA, Chicago, Miami and abroad. Just not here, of course. The Santa Fe room at the Hilltop just ain't that fancy!!
